Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital

Pearson & Peters Architects has been responsible for ongoing construction projects at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital for several years. The various buildings on 22 acres reflect the character and scale of horse farms in the Bluegrass Area while providing efficient, state-of-the-art equine treatment facilities at a reasonable cost. The following is a list of projects performed by Pearson & Peters.


1986 SURGERY CLINIC: This project consisted of a 17,000 SF surgery and intensive care treatment facility for thoroughbred horses, as well as a 16 stall surgery barn, a 6 stall isolation barn and a hay/equipment shed. The facility includes surgery suites, prep/post operative areas, neonatal treatment areas, offices, a pharmacy, laboratory, x-ray facilities, garage and horse loading facilities.


1991 TREATMENT BARN / OFFICE: A 14 stall treatment barn and offices were added to the highly successful, original facility.
