Lexington, KY

30,000 s.f. existing, 24,000 s.f. new construction - Completed 2002

Christ the King School serves students from Kindergarten through Middle School (K-8). This project consists of the full renovation of the existing school facility as well as the addition of new construction. The new addition contains school administration areas, faculty offices, toilets, youth activities area, library, computer lab, science lab, and new kitchen, cafeteria, and multi-purpose meeting areas. A 1992 P&PA addition to Christ the King Cathedral on the site added a new meeting room, multi-purpose room, and gymnasium for the joint use of the Church and school. Renovated areas contain general classrooms as well as Kindergarten facilities. The renovation included all interior finishes, new windows, new roof, and cleaning and pointing of the existing masonry facade. In addition to the architectural items, a complete renovation of mechanical and electrical systems was also included in the project's scope.
