Pearson & Peters Architects was formed in 1981 as a general practice architectural office to serve clients in both the public and private sectors. The firm offers a full range of architectural services, including master planning, programming, building design and interior planning services. Our office designs and administrates approximately 20 million dollars of construction annually.

Our architectural firm is headed by Jeffrey T. Pearson and Maureen A. Peters. The partners are active participants in the design, production, and administration of projects, heading teams as Project Managers. The partners are assisted by a professional staff of registered and graduate architects.

Pearson & Peters Architects has been a general practice architectural firm for 28 years. We have extensive experience in various building types, construction systems, and project types including educational facilities, institutional projects, libraries, religious facilities, offices, retail complexes, recreational facilities, agricultural, industrial, and residential. In addition to new structures, the firm has experience in the renovation and repair of existing buildings and their systems. We are also very familiar with historic renovations and adaptive reuse. We serve many clients in both the private and public sectors, including universities, state government, and municipalities.

Pearson & Peters Architects is guided by a philosophy of personal service. To achieve this, we commit talented people to the work who remain the project leaders from start to finish. Each project is led by a Partner in the firm who serves as Project Manager. This individual is assisted by a Project Architect with both individuals sharing responsibility for the service. Both the Project Manager and Project Architect are actively involved from the inception of the work and remain completely committed through the final construction punch list and subsequent year-end inspection. We believe this continuous involvement of talented individuals is the key to our successful practice.

The architecture of Pearson & Peters Architects’ projects does not reflect any particular "style". Rather, it is a logical response to the conditions of the client's program and the site's natural environment and context. Our client's buildings reflect shared concerns for appearance, context, and historical precedence. Pearson & Peters Architects’ projects typically exhibit a high quality of design interwoven with shared concerns for usefulness, safety, accessibility, cost, maintenance, and value.

Our range of projects and clients varies widely. While all our clients have specific goals for their individual project, each is marked by varying demographics and objectives. Our process is one of careful information gathering -- learning the particular needs and function of a client -- and then designing a facility which functions as a useful tool in meeting that client's needs, goals and objectives. As a result, each of our projects has been different in style and function and each has been uniquely associated with the client to which they belong.
